Sandra Collins is bi-racial and bi-cultural Japanese and Anglo, as she was born in Japan and has lived extensively in both Japan and the United States. She previously taught Asian History at the university level before she was inspired by her daughter to found enGender, a community based non profit that provides direct services and programs to gender diverse youth and their families, including Bay Area Rainbow Day Camp.  She thrives on creating bridges that mindfully engage communities for social change.
