Note: These videos are about my experience as the parent of a queer nonbinary child named Danny. They were developed before Danny began identifying as nonbinary and using they/them pronouns. I continue sharing them with permission although pronouns and references to them as “my son” or “man” are outdated.

In this beautifully animated New York Times video, I talk about parenting experiences that impacted my thinking around gender.

In this series of short videos, I share my experiences and learning and parenting my child Danny, who challenged gender boxes from an early age.  I created the series, with Danny’s help, to open hearts and minds, spark dialogue, build awareness and support families like her own.

Proud Mom, Part 1 – Early Years –  I talk about the pressures I felt to fit in and to make my child “fit into the box of being a boy”. I also share about my own process of learning to accept and support my child. Length: 5:32
